Who doesn’t like cheese and crackers? Who doesn’t like homemade healthy wholemeal crackers? These are ridiculously easy to make and wow all of your friends with. I guarantee that. I have never really thought of making crackers before but after creating this great recipe they are a regular in my kitchen now, and they have minimum fat and no sugar in at all!!


First start by laying your sesame seeds out on a oven tray and toast them in the oven for 10 minutes at 150c. Keep your eye on them and make sure they don’t burn because as soon as they burn they go incredibly bitter and will ruin the crackers. While they are cooking away in a bowl get you wholemeal flour, salt and olive oil and mix together thoroughly until a crumble mixture has formed.

Now take the sesame seeds out of the oven and place them into the crumble mixture and stir them in, add about 3 tablespoons of water and mix, then slowly add the rest once. Once a dough like consistency has been formed now you are ready to roll into your desired shapes, I have rolled into squares, stars, diamonds or circles. Use your creative flair! Have a bit of fun with it, bake in the oven at 175c for 15 minutes keeping a close eye on them during the bake as to not burn them. I have found that its best to spin the stray around half way through so the crackers at the back get the same amount of heat as the front. Dry on a cooling rack for 30 minutes and store in a air tight container.

Perfect for entertaining, that healthy crunch will make you go back for more and more!!
